This page explains how to delete your Tribe account and what happens to your data. Tribe is published by Tribe (tribebt.com) and used by sports academies, their coaches and staff, and parents.
Option 1 - Delete in the app (recommended)
- Open the Tribe app and sign in.
- Go to More (the menu in the bottom navigation).
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the action when prompted.
The account is deleted immediately. You will be signed out and removed from the academies you belonged to.
Option 2 - Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, send an email to info@tribebt.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject:
"Delete my account"
Please include your full name and the academy you belong to so we can locate the account. We may contact you to verify the request. Once verified we will delete the account within 30 days.
What data is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your account profile - email address, password hash, first and last name, phone number (if provided).
- Your account settings - language, time zone, theme, email-verification status.
- Your membership in any academies, teams and roles.
- The device push token registered to your account (so push notifications stop).
- Authentication tokens stored on our servers.
What data may be kept
Some information may be retained after your account is deleted:
- Academy records. If you contributed information to an academy (for example a player profile entered by a parent, attendance records, match statistics or fee/payment records), the academy is the data controller for that information and may keep it for its own legitimate or legal reasons (for example regulatory recordkeeping). Contact the academy directly to request deletion of academy-controlled records.
- Legal and security. Where law requires us to retain certain records (for example to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or comply with tax or accounting obligations), we may retain the minimum necessary information for the period required, after which it is deleted.
- Backups. Routine encrypted backups may retain deleted data for up to 30 days before being overwritten in the normal backup cycle.
